Thomas Linn, CEO
Thomas Linn is a recognized leader in the aircraft charter industry. He is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of two Globaljet companies, both of which he founded. The companies share two core attributes: high quality service, innovative strategies in business aviation management. The Companies are:
- Globaljet Corporation established in 1998 is a worldwide charter operator and broker. The company maintains a Wyvern Wingman and ARG/US Platinum safety rating, has been approved to participate in the Visa Waiver Program, and has been ranked the #1 aircraft charter provider six consecutive years by the readership of AZ Business magazine.
- Globaljet Management Group established in 2003 is an aircraft management company specializing in aircraft sales and acquisitions. Members of the group have transacted over $100 million in aircraft sales over the past 4 years.
Prior to moving to Scottsdale in 1998, Mr. Linn was a home developer in Southern Arizona, where he was instrumental in providing affordable housing for United States military personnel. Mr. Linn lived in Los Angeles for 1 year prior to starting Globaljet where he acquired his aviation expertise.
He attended the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ where he was the founder of the U of A racquetball team named the “Splat Cats”. Mr. Linn is currently the assistant head coach of the National Champion Arizona State University racquetball team located in Tempe, AZ. He is active in many charities including the Boys and Girls Clubs of Arizona, Foundation for Blind Children, American Heart Association, Phoenix Art Museum, Santa Fe Opera, and the Save Venice foundation. His interests include sports car racing, sailing, and international travel.
Tim Spahr, Chief Operating Officer
Tim started his career in aviation more than 20 years ago with United Airlines and has worked in various sales, marketing and management functions for USAfrica Airways and British Airways. After being on the sales team responsible for starting up British Airways’ Phoenix to London service, Tim moved into corporate aviation and has worked in various senior level management positions for private charter and aircraft management companies in Arizona and California for more than 10 years. Tim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. He is involved with the international aviation group “First To Fly” and was on the inaugural A-380 flight from Sydney to Singapore in 2007 and can be seen in the movie Sixteen Candles and some Wendy’s “Where’s The Beef” commercials. In his off time, Tim enjoys being a family dad with his wife and four children.
Edgardo Adorno, Controller
Edgardo was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and moved to Arizona in 2004 where he received his bachelor’s degree in Finance from the W.P. Carey School of business at Arizona State University in 2006. Edgardo played on the ASU racquetball team for two years and is an avid sports fan. He also plays basketball, golf and tennis. Edgardo is a really outgoing person that loves hanging out with friends and having a good time.
Charlie Hertenstein, Director of Operations
Charlie Hertenstein began a 22 year career in the Air Force in 1978. While initially involved with maintenance of aircraft, he completed his undergraduate degree in Industrial Technology from Southern Illinois University. Soon thereafter, he was accepted to the Air Force’s pilot training program. He later went on to complete a M.A. in Managerial Economics from the University of Oklahoma. After retiring from the Air Force in 2000, he flew in a number of Part 135 operations as well as for a major Part 121 carrier. His experience includes years as an Air Force instructor and evaluator pilot, was part of a standardization team responsible for 64 geographically separated flying organizations, Director of Operations for a major flight test/research facility employing over 250 people, and world-wide operations. Charlie’s other interests include skiing, genealogy, and travel.
Marc Nouh, Director of Maintenance
Marc M. Nouh began his career in Broomfield, Co at Colorado Aero Tech in 1994. After completing his A&P studies and graduating with honors and a perfect attendance, he relocated to Farmington, New Mexico where he went to work for Mesa Airlines. His aviation career since then has allowed him to experience the airline, cargo, corporate, and on-demand sectors of the industry. He currently holds an IA and is working on his DAR authorization.
Jimmy Nelson, Chief Pilot
Jimmy started flying at 16 in Alaska. By 19 he had obtained his commercial certification and was flying cargo at Prudhoe Bay. He then flew for his family’s charter company for 5 years in the Cessna 206. Since this early start he has flown for a hospital and other charter companies in California. Aircraft he has flown include King Air, Lear Jet 35, Lear Jet 55 and Gulfstream IV. He has been a captain and vice president of operations. Prior to becoming Chief Pilot for Globaljet Jimmy served as the company's Director of Operations for 5 years. In his free time he rides his motorcycle, scuba dives and skis.
